NITTANY & BALD EAGLE
The Nittany & Bald Eagle RR was created in 1984 when the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority purchased the old Pennsy Bald Eagle Valley Branch from Conrail and awarded the operating rights to the N&BE. The line runs from Tyrone on the ex-Pennsy mainline north about 65 miles to Lock Haven, PA and the NS (also ex-Pennsy) Buffalo Line. A branch at Milesburg runs to Bellefonte, where the old Bellefonte Central RR shops are used and on to Pleasant Gap and Lemont.
